He glared daggers into the back of the younger male’s head, damning him for being so quick with retorts and rolled his eyes, getting back to what he was working on. It probably wasn’t the best idea to do in this environment but it was the only time he got usual peace and “quiet”. Not so much today as it seemed bringing Daesung along to the shelter riled up most of the dogs, the ones who came into contact with him with energy, most likely due to his dongsaeng’s own nervous one. Sighing out of exasperation he stopped chewing on the flavorless gum, exchanging it for a new one then finally gave his attention to whatever the hell the other was going on about. “First off… They’re not beasties. And second of all, don’t call Mad Max that. I’m sure he doesn’t like it.” Cracking up as the black Lab seemed to growl in agreement while the look of horror grew on Daesung’s face. After a few more seconds of torture which was arguably fun for him, he whistled for the grumpy dog and got to his knees when it approached. “Good job, Maddie! Just like we practiced.” He burst out laughing when she completely changed her demeanor once she was in Seunghyun’s arms, excitedly rubbing her face against his neck while he scratched her sides as a reward. “Who’s my good girl, huh?! You are! Yes, you are!” Praising her in a voice he usually saved for only his nephew nowadays.

His nervousness didn’t ease in the slightest when his hyung seemed to egg the dog into being even more shifty looking, but with an attitude now as it stalked around his legs. Not wanting to show any more fear than necessary now that the older had at least moved to make an attempt to get it away from him, he narrowed his brows at Seunghyun’s seemingly irritated responses to everything and wandered over to where the older male was seated. After flopping down into the chair with the pomeranian still safely in his arms, he took a quick glance over the sheets of paper on the desk and pursed his lips, interested in why he was “working” on what was supposed to be a day off, a day off they’d had planned for quite a while. “So what’s all this and why’s it putting you in an irritable mood?” No sooner had the question rolled off his lips he regretted it as Seunghyun was back to being his childlike hyung, rolling around with the lab on the floor while Daesung looked on fondly. He let out a deep laugh and shook his head, petting the White ball of fluff now curled up on his lap fast asleep with a hum. “You seriously had a pact with a dog to try and make me even more scared than I would have been without the acting? Aren’t I the lucky one…” He teased in no more than a mumble before almost jumping out of his skin at an alarm sound blaring through the room, and seemingly the entire pound. Snatching the schedule from his pocket he gave it a quick glance through and grinned, getting back to his feet to find a decent leash for the pup he’d adopted for the day then handing a thicker one to Seunghyun. “Training time.”
